While the Jack White assisted “ Don’t Hurt Yourself” is unsullied rage and indignation over a rock & roll/hip-hop fusion composition. The inquisitive “Hold Up” has Beyonce demanding answers from herself and Mr. Those aforementioned lyrics are from the enticing “Pray You Catch Me” which serves a delectable entree for the rest of the project.

Her anger is palpable, her distrust warranted, her vulnerabilities prominently displayed, and the draining mental, as well as physical fatigue is brilliantly exhibited throughout the album. It should have been the stunning black and white cinematography or the remarkable back & forth choreography that seamlessly transported the audience between her contemporary throne rooms or the simple fact that the greatest tennis player of all time flaunts her athletic prowess while serving as her second in command. Her apathy clearly on display, the Queen pragmatically yet also somehow enthusiastically informs her king of her newfound indifference towards their empire. Her loyal subjects were positioned to her left and right, moving in perfect unison as the Queen leisurely relaxed in her slightly elevated makeshift throne.
